School Liasion Officer

Commitment: 2 hours a week/12 hours a month

Age: 16-25

Location: UK

Job: Remote

 

THIS ROLE IS ON A VOLUNTARY BASIS AND IS NOT PAID

Spark UK is an award-winning mental health organisation run by young people for young people. We create resources and campaigns for hundreds of schools across the country. We are looking for a hard-working and passionate individual to join our growing team as a School Liaison Officer.

 

The role will liaise with all our member schools as well as to recruit new schools onto our programmes and campaigns. The post holder will work closely with both the CEO and the Resource Development Officer to continue our involvement with schools and education providers and build 1-1 relationships with staff members.

The postholder will be asked to commit 2 hours a week including a fortnightly zoom meeting with SPARK UK management. This role is remote, with the occasional in-person meeting.

​

Roles Duties will include:

  • Compiling fortnightly email newsletters.

  • Recruitment of new schools onto SPARK UK Programmes.

  • Maintain regular communication with all schools.

  • Send resources and campaign updates to registered schools.

  • Work alongside stakeholders & partners to keep schools updated & informed.

​

The successful candidate will:

  • Be aged between 16-25.

  • Be passionate about Mental Health

  • Have access to the internet.

  • Have access to a laptop or computer.

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Have a keen eye for layout and design.

  • Have the ability to organise and prioritise own workload and work on own initiative

Resource Development Officer

In this role, you will help to produce and create lesson plans for primary, secondary and further education providers across the country on the subject of mental wellbeing.

 

The postholder will be asked to commit 2 hours a week including a fortnightly zoom meeting with SPARK UK management. This role is remote, with the occasional in-person meeting.

 

Duties will include:

  • Creation of lesson plans for primary and secondary schools.

  • Research and insight into potential topics for further resources.

  • Working with external agencies to gather information.

  • Attend review meetings with SPARK UK Management to sign off resources.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Be aged between 16-25.

  • Be passionate about Mental Health

  • Have access to the internet.

  • Have access to a laptop or computer.

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Have a keen eye for layout and design.

  • Have the ability to organise and prioritise own workload and work on own initiative.
