Spark UK Crowned Coronation Champions

We are thrilled that some that our team, under the leadership of our CEO, Conor Warren, has been selected as one of the 500 official Coronation Champions.

The Coronation Champions Awards, launched by Royal Voluntary Service and supported by Her Majesty The Queen Consort, is all about celebrating the work of extraordinary volunteers across the UK. A total of 500 volunteers have been selected as Coronation Champions and will receive an official Coronation Champions pin badge, a signed certificate from Their Majesties, and an invite to the coronation concert at Windsor Castle.

The team were nominated by Pam Cox from Ilfracombe Rotary Club:

"Spark UK is a group of inspirational young people all of whom are still in full time education.

They have exceeded their own aim of “sparking a conversation around mental health and young people” through their range of resources, campaigns and lesson plans for schools, podcasts, blogs, collaborative research projects and not forgetting their very successful Virtual Advent Calendars.

Their passion, drive and ingenuity have brought them recognition as “an innovative organisation run by young people for young people” for which they have received various prestigious awards.

I am very proud to have this association with Spark UK, their CEO Conor, Bridie, Kaia, Tegan, Joseph and Noah and it was certainly an honour, on behalf of Ilfracombe Rotary Club, to nominate them for a Coronation Champion Award.

Well-deserved Spark UK."

Our CEO & Founder , Conor Warren said:

“We are honoured to have been chosen as Coronation Champions. When I started Spark in late December 2020, I did not expect to still be going 3 years later. In the past 3 years, we have been able to do countless amazing things including working with some huge celebrities and creating content for thousands of students across the country. We have managed to grow from an organisation of 1 to now 6 team members with 7 advisors.

It is great to be able to show what teenagers can achieve, with just some passion and resilience. I am amazed by the amount of support we have received and look forward to the future. The Awards are a showcase of inspirational volunteers across the country, and we are honoured to be chosen among them.”
