Volunteer with us

At Spark UK, we are passionate to include youth voices in everything we do! Check below for our current opportunities to get involved in our work:

  • Location: Remote (with occasional in-person opportunities)
Time commitment: ~1–2 hours per week, flexible
(Includes a fortnightly team Zoom call and optional 1-1 support)

    About the Team

We’re building a Volunteer Marketing Team to help shape how Spark UK shares its story, campaigns, and impact. This team will play a key role in growing our digital presence, promoting national campaigns, and helping us reach more young people to spark conversations around mental health.

Rather than one person doing everything, you’ll be part of a collaborative, supportive team—each member contributing their skills across social media, campaigns, content, and digital marketing.

    What You’ll Do

Depending on your interests and strengths, you’ll help with some of the following:

    • Contribute to Spark UK’s weekly social media and digital marketing strategy

    • Help plan, create, and schedule content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and more

    • Support the promotion of key campaigns, including Sparkie & Friends, Spark Youth, and Spark Schools

    • Assist with email newsletters and website content updates

    • Track and reflect on marketing performance (reach, engagement, growth)

    • Take part in creative brainstorming, campaign planning, and brand development

Roles and responsibilities can be shaped around your skills and what you’d like to learn.

    Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need to be an expert — just curious, motivated, and passionate.

This role is ideal if you:

    • Have an interest in marketing, communications, content creation, or social media

    • Enjoy using platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or tools like Canva

    • Have good communication and organisation skills

    • Like working collaboratively but can also take initiative

    • Care about youth mental health and Spark UK’s mission

    What You’ll Gain

    • Real-world experience contributing to marketing for a national youth-led charity

    • Opportunities to build your portfolio and develop in areas like strategy, content, or analytics

    • A reference for education, volunteering, or future work

    • Flexibility to shape your role around your interests and availability

    • A welcoming, supportive team focused on impact and growth

    How to Apply

Email info@sparkuk.co.uk with a short paragraph about yourself and why you’d like to get involved.

No formal CV needed — we care more about your passion than your paperwork.

    Equal Opportunities

At Spark UK, we’re committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences — including those from underrepresented communities. Whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience, if you’re passionate about mental health and want to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Location: Remote (with optional in-person opportunities)
Time commitment: ~1–3 hours per month
(Including quarterly meetings and occasional project input)

    • Are happy sharing opinions and ideas (you don’t need to be loud or confident!)

    • Care about making services and campaigns more inclusive and representative

    • Want to learn more about leadership, governance, and youth voice

No experience needed — just honesty, curiosity, and commitment.

    What You’ll Gain
