SPARKING THE CONVERSATION AROUND MENTAL HEALTH.

led by young people, for young people

Spark UK is one of the UK’s leading youth-led mental health charities, providing free mental health resources, programmes, and campaigns to support young people's wellbeing

Founded in 2020, by then-14-year-old Conor Warren, we create free, accessible mental health resources, programmes, and awareness campaigns that support young people in managing their mental wellbeing. Our mission is to spark open and honest conversations and break the stigma around youth mental health.

From free classroom toolkits to nationwide campaigns featuring public figures, Spark UK empowers students, teachers, and communities with practical tools and peer-led support. Trusted by schools across the UK, our work reaches hundreds of thousands of young people every year—helping them feel heard, supported, and equipped to thrive.

Our Projects

At Spark UK, our projects are designed to educate, empower, and support young people across the UK. From Sparky & Friends, our engaging primary school programme promoting self-care and emotional literacy, to Spark Schools, which provides free, PSHE-aligned mental health resources for classrooms, and Spark Youth, our platform amplifying youth voice through campaigns and peer-led content — each project reflects our mission to make mental health education accessible, relatable, and youth-driven.

Our Story

Spark UK began in 2020 with a simple but powerful idea: to spark real conversations around mental health. Founded by 14-year-old Conor Warren during a time when mental health support for young people felt more important than ever, Spark UK was built on lived experience, youth voice, and a passion for change.

What started as a small project quickly grew into one of the UK’s leading youth-led mental health organisations—creating free resources, launching national campaigns, and reaching hundreds of thousands of students, teachers, and families. Today, our mission remains the same: to ensure every young person feels supported, understood, and empowered to take care of their mental wellbeing.
